How is World Link different than Other Comanies etc?

World Link is company with 24 hours/day highly discounted rates. These other companies are Japanese companies with high rates, confusing rate plans, and numerous fees.

Why is World Link so cheap?

World Link uses its massive customer base (more than 210,000 customers in Japan alone) to negotiate highly discounted rates from international carriers. In addition, World Link's services are sold through an expanding network of independent sales representatives; there's no need for a huge advertising budget or a large in-house staff. These allow World Link to pass the savings on to customers.

Can I use World Link if I have signed up for Myline/MylinePlus with a different company?

Yes! Even if you have signed up for Myline or MylinePlus with a different company (eg. NTT) you can still use World Link. World Link's dialing code is completely separate from Myline. World Link is the only company in Japan with a direct dial code that completely bypasses the Myline/MylinePlus service.

Can I use World Link if I have an ISDN line?

Yes, you can use World Link. If your telephone line is an ISDN line you must sign up the main telephone number and the "I" Number (second number) with register with us.

Does World Link use Fiber Optic Lines?

Yes. All World Link calls go over fiber optic lines. Many other companies use the Internet or satellites to save money. However, if you have used Internet/satellite phone services you know the connections are not clear and the services are unreliable. With World Link's fiber optic calls you get clear connections and low rates.

Are there any fees or hidden charges with World Link?

No. There are no minimum charges, monthly fees, basic, hidden charges, or additional local/domestic charges. CAUTION: With a number of the other discount companies you must pay for a domestic call to their switch as well as for the international call. These companies may not tell you that you are paying a local/domestic charge to call their company's switch in Japan. In addition, World Link does not charge you extra to send a monthly statement listing the calls you have made.

If you make more than \2,000 worth of calls in a month, you will receive a monthly statement approximately 3 weeks after the billing period with no extra charge. lease acknowledge that we basically do not send a monthly statement if the charge was less than \2,000.

Can I use World Link with my keitai/cellular/mobile phone? What are the rates?

Yes, you can. However,PHS cannot be used for domestic calls. See our mobile phone rates page.

Can I send faxes with World Link? What are the rates?

Yes, you can. The rates are the same as for telephones. See our rates page.

What currency will I be charged in?

Since May 1st 2006, We start charge to your credit card in Japanese Yen. World Link does not set any exchange rates.

Do I have to fax the application form?

Yes, either fax or mail it to us - we need your signature on the form. However, if you live in Japan, you can apply using our online application instead.

For reasons out of our control, it is not possible to register pre-paid mobile phones to the World Link service.
You must have a post-paid/subscription service in order to register.
